Risaburo Kimura

Risaburo Kimura, Japanese (1924- )

Kimura's works are part of the collections in galleries such as the Guggenheim and MOMA in New York City.  He is particularly well-known for his serigraph depictions of real and imaginary cities. These imaginative depictions challenge the viewer to experience cities in their confusion, glory and mystery.  Each of the screens for this series was drawn and hand cut by Kimura. They are all signed and numbered in pencil.
